Pompidou Mobile

The most important museum in the world, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, France dedicated to modern and contemporary creation decided to go on tour in France with “Mobile”, an amazing project financed by the Centre Pompidou, the French Ministry of Culture and private sector sponsors.

This travelling gallery was conceived by Alain Seban, director of the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and is hosted under an amazing and highly secured nomadic construction designed by the French architect Patrick Bouchain. It will allow for the local populations to approach an amazing display of 14 masterpieces of art including Matisse, Picasso, Braque, Léger, Calder, Niki de Saint Phalle and Bruce Nauman among others.

In its first month this small exhibit had reached an attendance of 20.000 and the Centre Pompidou Mobile will travel during years between mid-size cites all around France.

The exhibit is based on the thematic of color and groups of visitors are guided by actors using a trolley filled with set of educational sets and multimedia tools including an Apple iPad tablet used to launch audio sequences explaining the masterpieces to the groups.

Gerard Chiron, head of AV at the Centre Pompidou chose Best Audio, a French integrator to integrate the trolley. Best Audio relied on Smart Monkeys (Europe) for Show Control design and programming.
